Judge Eric Mulford
Judge Eric Mulford is actively involved in the community and strives to provide a court that is responsive to the area's needs.
Before taking the bench, Judge Mulford operated a private law practice and also served as the Assistant Gallipolis City Solicitor and an Assistant Gallia County Prosecuting Attorney.
Judge Mulford was born and raised in Gallia County and is a graduate of River Valley High School, the University of Rio Grande, and the Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law, where he was an associate editor of the law review.
Case Management
Expectations of attorneys and unrepresented parties in regards to case management are set forth in Local Rules 2 and 3, which may be found here.
The Gallipolis City Solicitor has the approved format of the criminal/traffic case pretrial report form adopted by the Court, and may submit the same on behalf of the parties when appropriate under Local Rule 2. The solicitor’s office may be contacted by phone at (740) 441-6030.
The approved Traffic Rule 12 form may be found in English here, and in Spanish here, but may only be used with the prior approval of the Judge and the Gallipolis City Solicitor.
There is no specific requirement for the format of a Civil Rule 26(F) conference report and discovery plan. However, attorneys and unrepresented parties are welcome to adapt and use the sample form provided by the Ohio State Bar Association, which may be found here.
